Norway is a long scandinavian country facing the northern atlantic ocean.
As the glaciers melted after the last ice age, the land slowly rose again
after being compressed by the huge mass of the ice, creating the fjords we
can see today all along the western coast of Norway. The steep mountainsides
provide amazing views such as can be enjoyed from Prekestolen , overlooking
the fjord below from 600m. For those afraid of vertigo, cities like Bergen
or Stavanger or Narvik will offer some pleasant walks.
